BENTLEY MOTORS APPOINTS BALAZS ROOZ AS REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR EUROPE

BENTLEY MOTORS APPOINTS BALAZS ROOZ AS REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR EUROPE

Bentley Motors today announces the appointment of Balazs Rooz as the new Regional Director for Europe, effective immediately.

With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry - holding several executive management positions - Rooz was most recently Business Transformation & Strategy Director - Europe at Jaguar Land Rover where he spent the last 9 years in different executive positions. Before this, he spent 4 years with Saab in Sweden and 7 years with General Motors in Hungary.

Rooz is joining Bentley Motors to lead one of the brand’s most important regions, accounting for approximately a quarter of total sales from 68 retailers in 34 different European markets.

This announcement swiftly follows the launch of the New Bentayga, with European market entry imminent, and as Bentley starts its 101st year, with the Beyond100 strategy looking to drive the business to be the leader in sustainable luxury mobility.

Commenting on the new appointment, Chris Craft, Member of the Board for Sales & Marketing, Bentley Motors, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Balazs to the Bentley team at this exciting time, as we embark on our ‘Beyond100’ strategy and join our quest to lead future sustainable luxury mobility. That starts with the introduction of the New Bentayga, the pinnacle luxury SUV. Europe will be a key market for this car and I look forward to working with Balazs to build on the success we have achieved in the region.”

Adding to those comments, Balazs Rooz, said:

“I have always held a great deal of respect for Bentley Motors and firmly believe, following the recent introductions, they have the freshest and strongest product line up of any luxury brand in the world. I look forward to working with the Bentley family, including our valued European colleagues, customers and retailer network as we strive to become the benchmark luxury car business, in Europe, and the rest of the world.”

The New Bentayga is expected to reach European markets later this month. A new exterior design adopts the Bentley design DNA now prevalent across the entire model range with the very latest on-board technology and an even more cosseting cabin, meaning the new model is significantly revised both inside and out.

Combining the abilities of a performance grand tourer, a luxury limousine, a spacious family car and an off-roader, the new Bentayga follows its predecessor’s mantle of having the broadest brief of any car on sale today.
The car that established the luxury SUV sector has been enhanced to create the ultimate in power, luxury and usability. Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Crewe, England, the extraordinary new Bentayga builds further on the outstanding success of its predecessor.
